Kailash Manasarovar Yatra By Helicopter
This is the exclusive Kailash & Manasarovar pilgrimage route that is meant for those who have ardent desire to pay obeisance to Lord Shiva but due to the paucity of time, are unable to take the standard route that takes more than two weeks. Taking acclimatization into account, this trip takes 9 days. However, it can be customized as per individual requirements. The major part of the journey id covered by specially chartered helicopter.
Duration : 08 Nights/ 09 Days
Location : Lucknow - Nepalgunj - Simikot - Hilsa - Manasarovar - Tarboche - Zuthulphuk - Dolma pass - Manasarovar - Hilsa - Nepalgunj - Lucknow.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 01 :
Arrival Lucknow either by train or flight directly. Transfer to NepalGunj by Car (Approx three and Half Hours drive). O/n Stay at Hotel in NepalGunj. (Those who are arriving at Kathmandu, shall have to take flight to arrive at Nepalgunj as the tour starts from Nepalgunj).
Day 02:
Early morning One hour flight from NepalGunj to Simikot (Altitude of 10,000 ft). Day for Acclimatization. O/n Camps
Day 03 :
Simikot to Hilsa (Nepal – Tibet Border) by Charter Helicopter. Trek for 30 minutes and board the awaiting jeeps, further drive 1 hours to reach Taklakot (Altitude of 12,600 ft). Second day for Acclimatization. O/N Guest House.
Day 04 :
Drive to Manasarovar (3 Hrs). O/N in Tents / Guest House.
Day 05 :
Full Day at Holy Bank of Manasarovar. Yatris will perform Manasarovar Parikarma by Jeeps. Dinner and Overnights at Guest House.
Day 06:
After early breakfast, depart to Tarboche. Trek to Driraphuk (12 kms / 7-8 hrs). Packed Lunch. Dinner and Overnight Camp / Guest House.
Day 07 :
After early breakfast, start trekking to Zutulphuk via Dolma Pass (highest point of entire journey) The distance is 18 kms with approximate time taken 9 -10 hrs. Packed Lunch. Dinner and Overnight Camp / Guest House.
Day 08 :
After early breakfast, trek further for 10 km. (3 – 4 hrs) to arrive at the ending point of Parikrama where jeeps shall be waiting to drive the pilgrims back to Manasarovar fopr last puja and holy bath and then proceed towards Tirthapuri (approx 2 Hrs drive)Tirthapuri is where the legendry spot where the demonBhasmasuire was burnt to ash. It is situated on the right bank of Satlej River. Then, Finally proceed for the overnight stay at Taklakot. O/N Hotel Peacock Highland.
Day 09 :
Proceed to Hilsa by jeep and then fly back to Nepalgunj & drive back to Lucknow for onward destination.
* Above tour is organized from May till September Starting point of the tour is Nepalgunj reaching via Lucknow.
* Total duration is 09 Days.
* Tailor made Itinerary suiting only for groups will be made as on request.
* As monsoon starts we, request our Guest to keep 2 - 3 days in Hand. So we request our Guest to keep their return journey tickets open dated.
Mode of Transport: :
* Lucknow - Nepalgunj - Lucknow will be done by a car.
* Nepalgunj - Simikot - Nepalgunj will be done by Flight.
* Simikot - Hilsa will be done by Charter Helicopter.
* From the first border town (Shera) of Tibet, the transfers to and from will be done by Toyota Land cruisers.
Accommodation:
Accommodation & all meals are inclusive. Accommodation will be provided in Hotels/ Guest house OR Tents as per available facility.
Medical Facilities :
Very few medical facility is available in Tibet. That too is very distantly located. Our Guide having certificate of paramedic courses will accompany the group, who take care of only few Medical issues at high altitudes. Personal Medical kit & medicines are recommended.
Guide :
Tibetan guide will accompany the group, supported by Tour Leader from India or Nepal.
Tour Cost:
US $ 3000 + tax per person For Non Indian Passport Holders OR INR 1,65,000 + tax per person for Indian passport holders. (This is 2013 rate, Tour cost is subject to change depending on the Rates announced by TAR for 2014).
The above tour cost includes :
* From Lucknow to Lucknow all expenses are included except expenses of personal nature.
* Helicopter Charter charges, Advance Camping Arrangements in Hilsa / Taklakot for acclimatisation.
* Chinese Visa, Tibet permit and Kailash permit. Nepal permit (Humla ), Officers fee, Sherapa supporting staff, Nepalese Tour Leader, Tibetan local guide.
The tour cost excludes :
* Travel/ Personal Insurance
* Emergency evacautions/ Rescue, if required.
* Any expenses of personal nature and NOT included in the "tour cost includes" section above, are additional.
* Addition days due to weather condition, Chinese Govt rule or any other an avoidable situation, Visitor has to be directly.
Permission and Official Formalities:
* No permission is required from the Indian or the Nepalese Govt.
* To undertake this tour all yatris should have valid passports.
* Tibetan Permit & Chinese Visa are required for this tour, which is included in the tour cost.
* Medical Fitness certificate stating that the traveller is not suffering from any type of respiratory diseases such as Asthma (issued by registered medical practioner) is needed.
